DR. MARGOT BURNELL, MD

Dr Margot Burnell is a medical oncologist having practised at the Saint John Regional Hospital for almost four decades.

She is co-chair of the CCTG Supportive Care Committee.

She has a passion for survivorship care for patients and their families.

​

Margot is a member of the CAN PACT steering committee and co-applicant for the CIHR study:

High dose mindfulness based psilocybin assisted therapy for demoralization syndrome in patients with advanced cancer – A phase II multi-site, randomized controlled, double blind, mixed methods trial.

 

Her goal is to encourage the scientific study of psychedelics, understanding their role in clinical care and enabling safe introduction into clinical practice.
