Biography
Elisabeth has been passionate about pursuing a career in research that advances cancer care since she was 12 years old. She has worked across multiple research labs, contributing to projects in paediatrics, large-scale longitudinal dementia research, and pharmacology trials. During her Master’s degree in Sweden, she explored the impact of adverse childhood experiences on university student mental health, with a particular focus on the protective role of resilience. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong interest in psychosocial health and the ways research can meaningfully improve quality of life. Ultimately, Elisabeth plans to pursue further education in psychosocial oncology and build a career dedicated to advancing psychosocial cancer care research.
Elisabeth currently works as a Research Assistant with the CAN-PACT Project, where she supports study management, coordination, and implementation. She works closely with the CAN-PACT team to help translate ideas into actionable research initiatives. Her involvement with CAN-PACT is deeply personal. As a caregiver to a loved one with advanced cancer, she has seen firsthand the profound impact cancer has not only on individuals but on entire family systems. This experience motivates her commitment to improving cancer care for families as a whole and advancing quality of life for people living with cancer and survivors alike.
